Soundcheck Summer Concert - Jalan Crossland

MONDAY JULY 4: JALAN CROSSLAND BAND (Wyoming)
Special Guests: The Lowest Pair (Olympia/Minneapolis)

Raised in rural Wyoming, Jalan Crossland is one of a very few “alt country” artists who still claims the “country” as home. This anchors the ‘truth is stranger than fiction’ wobble to songs about 21st century rural life. Dazzling guitar and banjo fingerpicking complete his kanky tales of hobos, tires, “mobile homes”, motorcycles, trucks, cars, shotgun-wielding vice presidents and methamphetamines.

The Lowest Pair features the duel banjo picking of Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee. Draped in Kendl’s high lonesome harmonies and Palmer’s Midwest croon, their debut release, 36¢, (Team Love Records) was hailed by many outlets and American Songwriter praised their ”earnest, earthy songcraft.”
