A Visual Voice on Wildlife Migration
"The wild animals that I photograph—they are the inspiration. Plain and simple, we should be honored to share this Earth with them, and they need a voice in our human culture." —Joe Riis, National Geographic Photographer
National Geographic Photo Exhibit
Recently, the longest pronghorn migration ever recorded was discovered where hundreds and hundreds of pronghorn migrate 150 miles from their summer ranges in Grand Teton National Park back to their winter range in Pinedale, Wyoming. Stop in on your visit to visually experience a world class educational display to learn about wildlife migrations in the Pinedale region. Wildlife biologists worked with National Geographic wildlife photojournalist, Joe Riis, to compile this traveling photo exhibit (photos and maps) to convey the story of the spectacular "Path of the Pronghorn" migration and the challenges pronghorn must overcome to complete their 300-mile round-trip journey.
The exhibit showcases at the Museum of the Mountain Man May 1, 2015 through October 30, 2015.
