Pine Street is Pinedale's main street and is perfectly located on the popular Wyoming Centennial Scenic Byway in route to Yellowstone. Pinedale was named for the beautiful pine trees along the Pine Creek running through the heart of town and was founded on September 26, 1904.
Pinedale Walking Tour
Walk the historic past of the farthest town from a railroad station in the United States where free lots were offered to settlers in 1904. Pinedale's historic district is filled with rustic buildings with a bit of western, contemporary charm...a great way to take a break on your trip for an hour or so and learn a bit about Pinedale's past, present, and future.

The Pinedale Walking Tour begins at the Sublette County Visitor Center and crosses Pine Street and proceeds west on the south side of Pine Street to Franklin Avenue. Head 1 block south on Franklin, then back up to Pine. Continue west to the Episcopal Church. Cross Pine and head east on the north side of Magnolia, then west for a block then turn and head east to Sublette Avenue. Turn south on Sublette and return to Pine Street then head west and return to the Sublette County Visitor Center.
