Ski the Real Wyoming – Ski beautiful groomed trails, or explore jaw-dropping backcountry.

The Nordic season typically runs from mid December through mid April. The vast open spaces offer solitude, diverse terrain and the freedom to go as far as you want. The CCC Ponds at south end of frozen Fremont Lake has a well maintained trail system through mid March and the area along Skyline Drive, approximately 7.4 miles east of Pinedale, offers miles of uncrowded groomed trails designed to accommodate all levels of ability.

There are over two million acres of public land and innumerable lakes near Pinedale providing vistas of incredible beauty. The breathtaking Continental Divide and Wyoming Range trail systems are additional options for the Nordic skier.

Back country cross country skiing in the Wind River, Gros Ventre and the Wyoming Range mountains is on logging roads and off track and is generally for intermediate and advanced skiers. Trail registers are located at trailheads and skiers are asked to please register.
